Class 1 Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and materials across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required, along with experience in freight handling and vehicle maintenance. Duties Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment for the transportation of freight and materials to designated locations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and freight documentation. Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle reliability. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred. Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and perform basic automotive repairs is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking and freight handling. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance purposes. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments. Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform vehicle inspections as required.
