Duties Civil Aviation Safety Inspectors, Aerodromes and Air Navigation, are responsible for performing oversight activities as they relate to aerodromes and airport zoning regulations to ensure compliance with the regulatory framework, to promote a proactive safety management systems culture, and for the safety of civil air operations in Canada. In this role, inspectors conduct surveillance and oversight activities of airports, review and approve airport construction plans, assess airport operating manuals for regulatory compliance, and analyze aeronautical assessments. Intent of the process This inventory will be used to establish pools of qualified candidates to meet immediate and future needs in the Ontario, Prairies and Northern Region as well as the Western and Yukon Region at Transport Canada. Pools established may be used to staff other identical or similar positions of various tenures and linguistic profiles within Transport Canada.
