City Carrier Assistant

Responsibilities Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail and packages using automatic inserting machines, RF scanners, and manual handling techniques. Load, unload, and organize shipments safely using material handling equipment such as forklifts and other warehouse tools. Deliver mail and packages along designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to customers or internal departments. Maintain organized records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory through data entry into Microsoft Office applications or specialized tracking systems. Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and other material handling machinery, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as filing, shipping & receiving, and shipment sorting to streamline operations. Support outdoor work activities by navigating various weather conditions while maintaining high levels of organization and customer service. Experience Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with precision. Familiarity with materials handling equipment operation such as forklifts or RF scanners is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry, filing, and shipment processing. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Basic math skills necessary for shipment calculations, inventory management, and record keeping. Outdoor work experience is beneficial for adapting to various weather conditions during route deliveries.
