This position plays an important role in the production of our handcrafted church furniture or the safe, organized loading and preparation of finished products for delivery. Our furniture is built with a combination of time-honored craftsmanship and modern manufacturing technology , and we take pride in producing quality furnishings that are designed to serve worship spaces for generations. New Holland Church Furniture is an employee-owned company with each employee owning stock shares in the company. Position Responsibilities Manufacturing Assist with the manufacturing and assembly of custom church furniture and architectural woodwork. Perform a variety of hands-on tasks throughout the production process. Safely operate basic hand tools and woodworking equipment after proper training. Read and follow work instructions, measurements, and production specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Inspect work for quality and workmanship throughout the production process. Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team to meet production schedules. Loading Dock & Shipping Prepare completed furniture and components for shipment and delivery. Safely load and unload furniture, materials, and supplies. Assist with wrapping, securing, and protecting finished furniture for transportation. Organize materials and finished products in designated storage and staging areas. Assist with receiving incoming materials and supplies. Maintain an organized and safe loading dock and warehouse area. Help prepare orders for delivery and installation. Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing, woodworking, construction, furniture production, or material handling is helpful but not required. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to work with hand tools and learn new equipment and processes. Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move furniture and materials. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the workday. Must be safety-conscious and willing to follow established procedures.
