Job Details Chief Mate – Offshore/Marine Position: Chief Mate Location: TBD Schedule/Rotation: TBD Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Mate for an upcoming marine assignment. Candidates must hold the appropriate USCG credentials and have experience in vessel operations, cargo handling, lashing, and stability. Required Licenses & Certifications USCG Mate 1,600 GRT Near Coastal (minimum) USCG Master 500/1,600 GRT Near Coastal preferred, with the ability to relieve the Master Radar Observer GMDSS Operator Vessel Security Officer (VSO) Advanced Fire Fighting Medical First Aid Bridge Resource Management (BRM) ECDIS Required Experience & Responsibilities Previous experience as a Chief Mate or in a comparable vessel officer role Strong knowledge of cargo operations, lashing procedures, and vessel stability Assist the Master with vessel operations and safe navigation Oversee deck operations, cargo handling, and crew safety Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety procedures Ability to relieve the Master when appropriately licensed
