A growing specialty chemical manufacturer is seeking a Chemical Sales Representative to drive revenue growth and expand customer relationships across an assigned territory. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role partners closely with Product Management, Innovation, Customer Service, and Operations teams to deliver technical solutions and exceptional customer support.

Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
• Develop and execute territory plans to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities across customers, applications, and channels.
• Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend value-driven solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, product training, and commercial proposals.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM activity.
Account Management
• Build relationships with procurement, operations, technical, and R&D stakeholders.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve supply, quality, and service issues.
• Support forecasting, demand planning, and long-term account growth strategies.
Market & Cross-Functional Leadership
• Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitive developments.
• Support pricing strategy, product positioning, and value-based selling initiatives.
• Coordinate customer trials, evaluations, and technical support activities.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2-10 years of B2B sales experience within specialty chemicals, polymers, industrial products, or related markets.
• Proven success developing new business and growing customer accounts.
• Strong negotiation, consultative selling, and pipeline management skills.
• Experience utilizing CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel as needed throughout the territory.
Preferred
• Experience selling into elastomers, thermoplastics, coatings, adhesives, lubricants, or other specialty industrial markets.
• Knowledge of distribution channels and commercial agreements.
• Ability to discuss technical specifications, formulations, and regulatory considerations with customers.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
