Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through accurate medication preparation, dispensing, and pharmacy operations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in diverse settings—including hospital, community, and LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacies—where your expertise ensures safe, compliant, and efficient medication management. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will support pharmacists in providing top-tier patient service while adhering to all regulatory standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing, preparation, and compounding medications, including sterile IV admixtures and aseptic techniques. Perform data entry into pharmacy software systems accurately to process prescriptions and maintain detailed records. Prepare and verify medication orders, ensuring pharmaceutical calculations are precise and compliant with state and federal pharmacy laws. Support patient service activities by answering inquiries, managing intake processes, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Conduct inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, medication storage compliance, and expiration date checks in accordance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards. Ensure adherence to hospital or community pharmacy protocols related to drug regulation, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology. Maintain sterile IV infusion procedures using aseptic techniques while complying with hospital or LTC pharmacy standards for sterile compounding and drug safety. Skills Proven experience as a pharmacy technician in hospital or community settings with LTC or critical care experience preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation, and pharmacy software systems. Familiarity with IV infusion procedures, sterile compounding, aseptic technique, and sterile IV admixture procedures. Excellent understanding of state healthcare regulations, federal pharmacy laws, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to perform accurate data entry while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient care and effective communication within multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacology and acute care settings for effective medication management.
