What You Will Do Join our team as a Certified Inspector, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and conformance of mechanical and optical components within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will directly support our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers. Inspect incoming mechanical and optical components using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMMs, and interferometers. Perform visual, mechanical, and optical inspections to verify conformance to specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards. Review material certifications, supplier documentation, and inspection records for accuracy and completeness. Identify, document, and process nonconformances in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of parts and materials. Prioritize incoming inspection workflow and communicate discrepancies in a timely manner. Adhere to all safety, compliance, cleanroom, and ESD protocols as required. Ability to work onsite and lift up to 35 pounds as required. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. 1–3 years of experience in mechanical, optical, or precision inspection in a manufacturing environment. Experience using mechanical measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and material certifications. Basic understanding of GD&T principles. Qualifications We Prefer Experience inspecting optical components such as lenses, filters, prisms, and coatings. Familiarity with optical benches, interferometry, or other optical test equipment. Experience working to AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality standards. Knowledge of CMM, Keyence, or digital inspection tools. Experience with SAP, Solumina, or other manufacturing/quality systems. Experience resolving inspection-related issues independently in a fast-paced environment.
