Certified Forklift & Reach Truck Operator 2nd Shift (3PM -12AM)

Job duties & responsibilities: Safely operates electric forklift / reach truck equipment; including other equipment (motorized included) to load or unload product into the warehouse. Picking and staging finished goods proactively Pulling and stocking pallets in high racks with 40 ft clear high ceiling. Transports palletized products to proper warehouse slots. Replenishes primary pick slots from secondary pick slots. May assist in receiving area or with will call orders. Moves empty pallets. Reads shipping order and/or picking order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Loads and/or unloads product items and other materials onto and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information. Lifts, counts, sorts, and places product items on pallets according to order fill instructions or special requirements. Prepares and records orders, fill tickets and truck logs (load sheets) in accordance with company standards. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Move and stack materials using safe material handling guidelines. Identify damages and report shortages. Perform forklift / reach truck inspections and follow forklift / reach truck operating guidelines. Comply with company policies, safety rules and regulations. Performs similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor including general housekeeping. And perform other duties as assigned. Education/Training and Experience: High School Diploma or GED (preferably) One year experience of distribution or warehouse experience (preferred). One year of forklift / reach truck experience (either preferred). Must be able to perform basic to moderately difficult mathematical functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averaging and percentages. Must be able to successfully complete in-house forklift certification test. Physical Demands: Frequently required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
