Certified Diesel Mechanic - Lineaul

SPR Global, INC. has an opening for a Diesel Mechanic. In this position you will Thoroughly inspect all diesel related issues on company equipment, perform truck (tractor) safety and general maintenance related repairs. To be considered you must have your own tools and at least 3 to 5 years of experience as a Detroit Diesel Mechanic. Have the ability to work unsupervised. Be self Motivated and able to work independently. Experience with engine repairs and road calls is preferred. Job Requirements and Responsibilities: Education: High School Diploma GED or graduation from trade/technical school preferred. Additional technical school education may substitute for required experience. Drivers license required. 3 to 5+ years of experience as a heavy truck mechanic Complete advanced preventative maintenance inspections on tractor equipment in compliance with specified safety procedures and DOT regulations Thoroughly understand basic tractor maintenance, diagnosis, and repair, root causes of common issues, and corrective steps to keep trucks running at maximum efficiency. Recognize and identify, non-diesel specific related repair or maintenance items (trailer, tires, etc). Assist in the moving of equipment around the yard. CDL Preferred but not required. Maintains a clean and safe work area compliant with company regulation and policy. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
