Certified Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy duty vehicles, specifically Peterbilt trucks year ranging 2020-2027, and repairs and maintenance of van and hopper trailers. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shock and strut replacements, and brake repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding and hand tools to meet specific operational needs or repair requirements. Utilize automotive electrical systems knowledge to troubleshoot wiring issues and repair complex electronic components in vehicles and equipment. Perform vehicle inspections for fleet vehicles such as tractor-trailers and farm machinery to identify potential issues before they become costly repairs. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements. Proven dealership experience or extensive background working with heavy trucks, industrial equipment, or farm machinery is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems in vehicles/equipment. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and power tools is essential for accurate troubleshooting and repairs. Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic systems enhances diagnostic efficiency. Demonstrated ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks safely in a workshop or field environment.
