This includes oversight and coordination of the preventive maintenance program, management of external service contracts, procurement, asset management, delivery of minor capital projects, and the coordination of major capital project delivery, and emergency repair services. The Centralized Supervisor provides front-line operational support to County homes and seniors service facilities as required, ensuring consistent, efficient, and responsive service across all locations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not listed in order of priority) 1. Provide oversight for all Maintenance and Facilities department responsibilities and issues at all County long-term care home and seniors services facilities. 2. Ensure the property maintenance standards of the Corporation are maintained, supervised, and conducted in the most efficient manner, and in accordance with provincial legislation, municipal by-laws and relevant policies. Monitors and evaluate department-wide Quality/Risk Management program and statistical reports. 3. Under the direction of the Manager, Maintenance & Facilities, assist to plan, implement, standardize, monitor, perform, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs for corporate building systems and equipment (heating, cooling, domestic water, electrical, plumbing, fire system, etc.). 4. Lead the development and implementation of a centralized electronic preventive maintenance program (SAP), and support long-term care homes in its effective adoption and use. 5. Oversee the daily operation of the Service Request System (SRS) for reactive maintenance, ensuring effective prioritization of work orders. Coordinate contractor procurement and scheduling as needed, and manage vendor relationships and service agreements. 6. Provide leadership and oversight for special projects, emergent issues, and priority departmental initiatives to ensure timely and effective delivery. 7. Responsible for maintaining the asset management database and make recommendations on short and long-term requirements for all assigned long-term care home and seniors services facilities, project priorities, implementation timing, relevant research, and budget estimates. Provide input to the Manager, Maintenance and Facilities on the long-term financial plan and annual budget. Assist client departments in this planning if required. 8. Responsible for implementing and maintaining consistent fire safety procedures, security, and emergency preparedness program all long-term care home and applicable seniors’ services facilities. Develop and promote safe work practices which adhere to requirements of health and safety legislation and policies. Act as Safety Officer and implement maintenance and facilities policies and procedures with input from the County health and safety representative. Maintain compliance with all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal standards, regulations, and codes. 9. Provide oversight on the safe use and care of facility equipment.
