Job Summary
The Central Banking Operations (CBO) Analyst is responsible for process analysis within Central Banking Operations department. This position supports and executes initiatives and projects impacting the division under the guidance of the CBO Administrator and the Director of CBO. The CBO Analyst is responsible for providing task coverage, support, and assistance to the Central Banking Operations departments, consisting of Adjustments & Research (A&R), Cash Center Vault (CCV), Central Operations (COD), Item Processing (IP), and Operations Records (ORD). This position requires a high degree of self-motivation, innovative thinking, flexibility, and the ability to perform functions accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and established deadlines.
Essential Duties
• Support the Central Banking Operations Administrator and Director of Central Banking Operations with department responsibilities and projects.
o Conduct research, analyze data, monitor processes, and identify areas for process improvement.
o Formulate, define, and implement improvements to business processes and/or operations to enhance productivity/effectiveness.
o Assist with the tracking of CBO projects and deliverables.
o Perform project-related tasks assigned by Management, including preparing project documents, testing of new initiatives and processes, and obtaining required approvals.
o Create and maintain operational metrics and conduct ad hoc studies.
o Work collaboratively with technology, operations, compliance, legal, and sales teams to achieve stated goals and initiatives.
• Place cases with Core provider and other CBO vendors; work with business units to test and submit necessary documentation for change control board for production implementation.
• Provide support and coverage within the CBO divisions as assigned, performing various tasks and responsibilities in compliance with established procedures and directions.
• Perform tasks related to the division’s first line of defense and internal control testing practices.
o Analyze, evaluate, and periodically review relevant compliance and risk management practices across CBO departments.
o Assist with the design, development, and execution of the 1LOD independent framework, which includes the development and ongoing enhancement of the controls testing and monitoring policy, standards, and procedures to define the program as well as the execution of testing to ensure controls are designed and are operating effectively. Align these materials to the ERM Internal Control Testing Policy and Framework and other Operational Risk Management standards such as RCSAs. o Actively participate with issue identification and resolution for operational areas.
• Support CBO audits and exams as it pertains to control testing approaches, methodologies, results, and documentation.
• Identify and assist in implementing process improvements in line with the Bank’s strategic goals.
• Support CBO management with reviewing, documenting, and testing departmental policies and procedures.
• Create internal reports utilizing the Bank’s database and other source systems.
• Assist with designing and updating process workflows, templates, and Laserfiche forms.
• Provide Management feedback pertaining to areas of concern or potential risks.
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security, and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.

• May assist in performing periodic certifications.
• Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to, photocopying, faxing, mailing, scanning, and filing.
• Serve as a department representative for Bank projects and initiatives as assigned by Management.
• Assist with the Core provider’s annual release, performing administrative duties to facilitate an effective process.

For qualified positions, the Bank may designate an Officer Title to an employee who seeks and/or meets defined competencies for an eligible position. This position qualifies for the officer title(s) of Assistant Vice President, Vice President.

Education and Experience
