Assignment Details Location: Acworth, GA Contract dates: October 8–November 8, 2026 Schedule: Seven days a week, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Position type: Temporary contract Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, within the yard to position freight for loading and unloading. Use GPS navigation systems to accurately locate designated areas within the yard or delivery routes. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety compliance. Move refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment as needed, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Maintain accurate logs of yard movements, trailer locations, and delivery schedules in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Assist with truck loading and unloading processes, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Conduct routine safety inspections on vehicles and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards before operation. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and route driving. Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, hazardous materials handling, and dangerous goods regulations. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning within yard or over-the-road routes. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times. Skilled in manual handling techniques for freight loading/unloading and cargo securing procedures. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely under various conditions. Excellent driving record with experience in delivery driving, logistics cargo handling, and truck loading/unloading processes.
