sponsibilities
• Operate heavy construction equipment, including skid steers and other earthmoving machinery, to move and haul dirt efficiently and safely.
• Clear designated areas of debris, soil, and other materials to prepare sites for construction activities.
• Backfill trenches and excavations to specified grades and compaction requirements, ensuring stability and proper site conditions.
• Perform civil dirt work, including grading, leveling, and shaping terrain according to project plans and instructions.
• Work productively in a fast-paced environment with daily production goals, consistently meeting performance and schedule expectations.
• Use basic hand and power tools fluently to support equipment operation and general construction tasks as needed.
• Follow all site safety protocols, including safe equipment operation procedures and awareness of uneven ground and outdoor conditions.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and crew members to coordinate equipment movements and work sequences.
• Inspect equipment visually during use and promptly report any issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools, equipment, and materials are stored safely.
Essential Skills
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment on construction projects, including earthmoving machinery such as skid steers.
• Previous experience working on active construction sites, particularly in civil dirt work and dirt moving operations.
• Ability to fluently use basic hand and power tools in support of construction and equipment-related tasks.
• Strong understanding of safe heavy equipment operation practices in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
• Comfort working outdoors in extreme temperature conditions and on uneven ground throughout the workday.
• Capability to handle pressure and meet daily production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Reliability to work a demanding schedule of approximately 5060 hours per week with early morning start times.

• Experience in civil construction and dirt work on non-residential projects.
• Experience working on large-scale, fast-paced construction sites with strict timelines.
• Ability to read and follow basic instructions and site directives related to grading, clearing, and backfilling.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail when operating heavy equipment around other workers and obstacles.
• Physical ability to walk and work on uneven terrain for extended periods.
