CDL Water Truck Driver

Haskell Lemon Group is seeking a dependable Water Truck CDL Driver to join our road construction team. This position primarily operates a water truck in support of construction operations; however, this is not a driving-only position . When the water truck is not needed, the employee will assist the crew with general labor, equipment operation, traffic control, and other construction-related duties. Water truck experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate. Requirements Valid Class A or Class B CDL Tanker endorsement required Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability and willingness to perform physical construction labor in addition to driving Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold Ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a construction crew Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to assigned work locations Must meet all applicable DOT and Company requirements for a CDL driving position What You'll Do As a Water Truck CDL Driver, your responsibilities may include: Safely operate a water truck on active road construction projects Apply water for dust control, soil compaction, and other construction needs Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment concerns Operate other construction or heavy equipment when trained and assigned Assist equipment operators and other crew members with general construction activities Use hand and power tools as needed Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment Signal equipment operators to assist with the safe movement and positioning of equipment and materials Assist with traffic control in and around active work zones Support erosion control, sediment control, waste management, and other site requirements Perform jobsite cleanup and help maintain a safe, organized work area Follow all Company safety policies, DOT requirements, and supervisor instructions Perform other duties as assigned based on project and crew needs What to Expect This is an outdoor, hands-on road construction position . Employees should be prepared to work in changing weather conditions and around active construction equipment. Work schedules may vary based on project needs, weather, and the construction season and may include early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends . The successful candidate will be someone who is willing to drive when needed and jump in to help the crew when the truck is not in use . When the water truck is not in motion, you will be expected to work on the ground with the asphalt crew, which may include digging, sweeping, lifting heavy objects, operating heavy equipment and other manual labor tasks.
