CDL Truck Driver – Local/Regional

About the Position Jones Farms is looking for an experienced Agricultural Logistics CDL Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of agricultural commodities using hopper-bottom trailers. We are looking for a dependable, safety-conscious driver who understands agricultural transportation, can properly operate and inspect hopper-bottom equipment, and takes pride in keeping equipment and loads in excellent condition. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations with hopper-bottom trailers Transport grain, agricultural commodities, and related materials between farms, grain elevators, mills, processing facilities, and other designated locations Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections Properly position trailers for loading and unloading Safely operate hopper gates and unloading equipment Ensure loads are properly secured and within legal weight limits Monitor cargo and equipment throughout each trip Communicate effectively with dispatchers, farmers, and customers Maintain accurate logs, trip records, and required documentation Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures Maintain a clean and professional truck and trailer Identify and report mechanical problems or equipment issues Assist with seasonal increases in workload when necessary Represent the company professionally when working with farmers, customers, and agricultural facilities Required Qualifications Valid Class A CDL Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience Minimum 2 years of hopper-bottom trailer experience Experience transporting agricultural commodities strongly preferred Acceptable driving record Ability to pass required DOT physical and drug screening Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements Ability to safely operate and inspect tractor-trailer equipment Dependable and punctual Strong communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Grain hauling Agricultural logistics Hopper-bottom trailers Farms and agricultural operations Feed mills Corn, wheat, soybeans, or other bulk agricultural commodities Seasonal harvest operations What We Offer Competitive pay Consistent agricultural freight Opportunities for additional miles during peak agricultural seasons Physical Requirements Ability to enter and exit tractor and trailer equipment safely Ability to inspect equipment and cargo Ability to operate hopper-bottom trailer controls Ability to perform basic equipment-related tasks Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Apply Today If you have at least 2 years of commercial driving experience and 2 years of hopper-bottom trailer experience and are looking for a long-term opportunity in agricultural logistics, we encourage you to apply.
