Duties Operate tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, deliver freight efficiently across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Atlanta to Florida 3 days of the week. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and timely deliveries while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Qualifications Proven experience with 5 years of commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers with manual handling experience. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling procedures. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading.
