CDL Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires proficiency in operating different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Duties Safely transport freight to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports on mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport. Navigate routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering road conditions and regulations. Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues that arise during transport. Skills Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and other commercial driving equipment is preferred. Strong knowledge of truck driving regulations and safety protocols. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight when necessary. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in route driving is an advantage. Familiarity with freight handling procedures including loading/unloading techniques. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
