Responsibilities
• Operate tri-axle dump trucks to haul stone, soil, asphalt, debris, and other construction materials.
• Transport materials between job sites, quarries, asphalt plants, and disposal facilities.
• Safely maneuver and back the truck on active construction sites and in confined areas.
• Follow safe loading and dumping procedures.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Promptly report mechanical problems, defects, and safety concerns.
• Keep the truck cab clean and complete required inspection and delivery records.
• Communicate with dispatch and field supervisors to coordinate deliveries.
• Follow traffic laws, applicable DOT requirements, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
• Valid CDL appropriate for the assigned truck.
• Minimum one year of verifiable dump-truck driving experience; tri-axle experience preferred.
• Safe driving record.
• Experience working around construction crews and equipment.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and recognize mechanical or safety concerns.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and clear communication.
• Ability to safely enter and exit the truck and perform duties associated with dump-truck operation.
