CDL Dump Truck Driver

Gainesville Topsoil and Excavation Corporation is seeking a CDL Dump Truck Driver to support material hauling and job site operations in Catlett, VA. Position Summary The CDL Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and deliver materials to and from job sites. This role plays a key part in keeping projects on schedule by ensuring timely, accurate deliveries and maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism in the field. In addition to driving, you will help ensure trucks are properly prepared for daily operations and that equipment and job sites are handled with care. You will work closely with dispatch and field personnel to support efficient logistics and smooth project execution. Key Responsibilities Operate a CDL dump truck safely and efficiently to transport materials to and from job sites. Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs and equipment issues promptly. Secure loads properly and follow all applicable safety procedures, traffic laws, and site requirements. Coordinate delivery timing with dispatch and job site needs, ensuring accurate arrival and turnaround. Assist with basic site and operational tasks as needed to support overall job flow and customer expectations. Required Qualifications Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements for dump truck operation. Safe driving record and ability to operate a commercial vehicle in a variety of conditions. Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain situational awareness at all times. Willingness to work full-time onsite and reliably report to scheduled routes and job sites. Ability to perform job duties associated with loading checks, basic equipment handling, and job site support. Preferred Qualifications Experience driving dump trucks or working in construction, excavation, or related material-hauling environments. Familiarity with job site logistics, load securing practices, and safe operational procedures. Experience supporting maintenance reporting and maintaining equipment readiness. Strong communication skills and a customer- and team-oriented mindset.
