CDL Dump Truck Driver - Class A or B

Job Summary: CDL Triaxle Driver, class A or B - punctual, reliable, safety-conscious, and team player. This position involves hauling/transporting various materials and heavy equipment to and from job sites. In addition, this position will assist the paving and excavation crews with loading/unloading materials and equipment, and other tasks assigned by management to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe company operations. Class A or B Key Responsibilities: Safely operate vehicles such as triaxle dump trucks. Hauling materials to and from job sites (asphalt, millings, stone, dirt, misc. debris, etc.) Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and materials. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report and document maintenance needs. Maintain accurate logs and delivery records. Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations. Communicate with the superintendent, foremen, project managers, and crews regarding hauling, transportation, and location. Other tasks assigned by management to assist company operations with site prep, traffic control, cleaning, or other duties as needed when not operating a dump truck. Qualifications: Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a safe and clean driving record for two years. DOT, OSHA, and Safety Regulations and Compliance knowledge. Able to physically complete tasks to complete or assist with loading, tarping, chaining vehicles and equipment, and laborer duties on site or off site. Team-oriented attitude with a strong ability to communicate. Able to work flexible schedules and required overtime. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions (heat, wet, cold, etc.) Required and must pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen. Required to complete background checks. Work Type: Construction Material Hauling: Transport asphalt, aggregate, stone, topsoil, fill, and other construction materials to and from active construction sites. Excavation and Demolition Material Hauling: Transport excavated materials, dirt, broken asphalt, concrete, and demolition debris from construction and excavation sites to designated disposal or recycling facilities. Asphalt Milling Operations: Operate tri-axle dump trucks alongside roadway milling machines, receiving milled asphalt directly into the truck bed and transporting millings to designated facilities. Asphalt Paving Operations: Transport hot-mix asphalt from asphalt production plants to active paving sites, safely positioning and operating the dump truck to discharge asphalt directly into roadway pavers. Snow and Ice Management: Operate snowplow-equipped tri-axle dump trucks for snow plowing, salting, and ice control on commercial properties, parking lots, and public and private roadways. Perform snow loading and hauling operations to designated disposal locations. Heavy Equipment Transportation (Class A CDL Holders): Drivers possessing a valid Class A CDL may be assigned to operate tri-axle or other truck with an equipment trailer combinations for transporting construction machinery and heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, skid steers, rollers, pavers, milling equipment, and other construction machinery between job sites, company facilities, and equipment yards.
