Valley PlainsJob Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious CDL Driver specializing in Water Hauling, End Dump, and Belly Dump operations. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for transporting water, bulk materials, and freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in truck driving, cargo handling, and route navigation will be vital in supporting our logistical operations. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks including water haulers, end dump trailers, and belly dump trailers to transport materials efficiently across designated routes. Load and unload cargo safely using manual handling techniques and appropriate equipment, ensuring proper securing of loads according to safety standards. Navigate using GPS systems and plan routes that optimize delivery times while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailers, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit. Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, and other freight types such as refrigerated trailers or tanker units when applicable. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for tanker, hazmat, or other relevant certifications preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for freight or logistics cargo handling. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, hazard materials regulations, and safe truck loading/unloading procedures. Skilled in manual transmission operation with experience handling flatbed or tanker trailers as needed. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for efficient route planning across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Strong manual handling skills for load & unload activities combined with a focus on safety and precision. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time.
