CDL Driver/Mover (must be able to lift 75 lbs)

Star Moving is a 28 year old company specializing in local, long distance, international and office moving. You will be responsible for driving and managing interstate moves and proving excellent service to our clients. The job requires lifting heavy objects and loading & unloading furniture on to and off of trailers. This will include determining priorities, assigning tasks, holding people responsible and achieving the desired results. This position requires dedication, a level head, and the ability to delegate work. A positive attitude, exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to physically assist movers with the daily responsibilities is necessary. You must be able to pass a background check and get on Military Bases. CDL Driver - $25.00-$30.00/hour (current drivers make in excess of $100K/year) Responsibilities include the following: Review daily tasks, determine priorities and possibly manage crew Transporting shipments within a 1500 miles radius of Dulles, VA Packing, loading and unloading household goods from a 53 ft trailer Maintain a clean and efficient truck and warehouse Communicates objectives and instructions to crew Upholds and enforces company standards and polices, such as attendance and uniforms Resolves problems and proactively takes steps to avoid future problems. Provides oversight to ensure all necessary labor, materials and equipment arrive at each job site in a timely manner Conducts daily truck and equipment checks for cleanliness, maintenance and security. Keep track of all items coming and going to/from the warehouse.
