CDL Driver/Mechanic
Pacific West, LLCPacific West Transportation has a unique opening for the right candidate. Our Spring Town, Texas location is looking for an experienced Class A CDL driver who also has strong mechanical knowledge of the equipment they operate. Driving Requirements Class A CDL with at least 5 years of experience Good Texas driving record Experience operating semi-trucks in a variety of configurations Experience operating straight roll-off trucks and trailers for bin pickup and delivery to local landfills and disposal facilities Experience hauling 48' to 53' dry box vans Experience operating a pickup truck while towing a gooseneck or bumper-pull trailer over 26,001 lbs. GVWR 40Hrs per week and possibility of out of town. Mechanical Requirements Engine diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair Drivetrain, transmission, and clutch adjustment Air brake diagnostics and troubleshooting Air conditioning diagnostics and troubleshooting Suspension and steering diagnostics and troubleshooting Basic electrical knowledge Must have your own tools Preferred Skills Welding and fabrication Accredited diesel technology training certificates Bilingual in English and Spanish Light-duty pickup truck experience Construction equipment experience The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented, and works well alongside a team of experienced, versatile coworkers.
