CDL Driver/Lumberyard Attendant

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Driver/Lumberyard Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a large commercial vehicle on paved and unpaved surfaces, and would have experience driving a forklift. This role also entails handling any and all Lumberyard Attendant responsibilities when there are no loads to be delivered. As a CDL Driver/Lumberyard Attendant, you will be responsible for all of the items listed below. Responsibilities Assist customers on the lumberyard Load materials in customer vehicles Clean and maintain lumberyard Unload materials from delivery trucks Restock lumber bins Prepare deliveries to go to customer locations Go on deliveries as needed Handle customer returns Learn all the products sold Maintain positive and professional attitude Safely drive and deliver materials to customer sites Safely operate the truck and mounted forklift Refuel truck and forklift fuel tanks Inspect truck and forklift for maintenance needs Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience driving a truck, preferably with delivery driver experience. Familiarity with operating forklifts is a plus. Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles is required. Strong knowledge of route driving and freight handling procedures. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to pass background check.
