Butler Field Services LLCJob Summary Join our dynamic team as a CDL Driver/Labor, where you'll play a vital role in transporting goods efficiently and safely across various routes. You'll operate a range of commercial vehicles—including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers—while ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including manual transmission tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) routes Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations when applicable Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all safety protocols and regulatory standards Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, route information, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, manage route adjustments, and report any incidents or delays promptly Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on truck loading/unloading, route driving, and delivery driving Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucking, tanker operations, and automobile transportation is highly desirable Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for dangerous goods Hands-on experience with manual handling equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements for hazmat or tankers preferred; a clean driving record is essential Prior experience working with logistics cargo handling in various environments including freight yards or warehouse facilities is advantageous Join us to be part of a fast-paced team dedicated to delivering excellence on every route.
