Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to maintain vehicle safety and compliance Manage logistics cargo handling by securing loads properly, verifying shipment accuracy, and documenting delivery details accurately Drive delivery routes that may include automobile transportation or other specialized freight requiring careful handling and precise delivery procedures Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations Requirements Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with necessary endorsements for the type of vehicle operated (e.g., Hazmat endorsement if applicable) Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or similar vehicles Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials regulations for safe transportation of dangerous goods Ability to operate manual transmission trucks comfortably and handle manual loading/unloading processes efficiently Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and route planning for optimal delivery schedules Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA rules, and safety protocols for commercial trucking Excellent manual handling skills with attention to cargo security during transport and unloading processes Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
