CDL Driver

Job Description Lando Excavation is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our team. We specialize in excavation, underground utilities, and site development for residential and commercial construction projects throughout Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. We are looking for a dependable driver with experience operating dump trucks and transporting construction materials and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the willingness to assist with jobsite activities when needed. Key Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks, including dump trucks and truck/trailer combinations. Haul dirt, gravel, aggregate, asphalt, and other construction materials to and from jobsites. Transport heavy equipment and machinery between project locations as assigned. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with DOT regulations. Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery tickets, and required documentation. Coordinate with foremen, equipment operators, and project managers regarding hauling needs. Keep trucks clean and report maintenance or mechanical issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety procedures. Assist with general jobsite duties when hauling work is not required. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Previous commercial driving experience preferred. Experience operating dump trucks and hauling construction materials strongly preferred. Experience hauling heavy equipment and operating truck/trailer combinations preferred. Acceptable driving record. Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements. Ability to safely maneuver trucks in active construction sites and confined areas. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team. Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
