CDL Driver

Buddy's Upstate Logistics LLC is seeking a CDL Driver to support safe, timely transportation of goods and strengthen dependable delivery operations. Position Summary The CDL Driver will operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between locations while maintaining safety, professionalism, and compliance with applicable transportation regulations. This role is responsible for completing assigned routes efficiently, handling cargo with care, and providing consistent communication throughout each trip. You will be an essential part of the logistics team, helping ensure deliveries are made accurately and on time while upholding company standards for vehicle condition, documentation, and driver conduct. Key Responsibilities Drive commercial vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with all traffic laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Transport freight to assigned destinations, following routing instructions and delivery schedules. Perform pre-trip, in-trip, and post-trip inspections, reporting any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure accurate completion of delivery-related documentation, including logs and shipment information. Communicate effectively with dispatch and relevant team members to resolve route or delivery issues as they arise. Required Qualifications Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements for the role. Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and reliably in a variety of road and weather conditions. Knowledge of basic DOT and safety expectations, including recordkeeping and compliance requirements. Willingness to follow standard procedures for vehicle checks, freight handling, and documentation. Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience driving commercial routes in a logistics or transportation environment. Familiarity with common freight handling practices and cargo securing principles. Experience maintaining accurate logs and shipment paperwork with minimal errors. A proven track record of punctuality, professionalism, and dependable attendance. Compensation Hourly rate: $28.00 - $30.00
