CDL Driver (Class A or B) - Tri-Axle Dump, Paving Company

Coastal Paving needs drivers who can haul hot mix from the plant to the job and move our paver, roller and milling machine on the equipment trailer. Class A drivers run the tri-axle and pull the equipment trailer; Class B drivers run the tri-axle and the hot box truck. When the truck is parked you work with the crew, so this is a driver/laborer job, not a seat-only job. Pay: $28-$35/hour based on license class and experience. Drivers who can also run equipment earn the top. Higher pay on prevailing wage projects. What you will do: - Haul hot mix from the asphalt plant to job sites and back into the paver - Load, chain down and move equipment on the equipment trailer (Class A) - Pre-trip and post-trip inspections; keep the truck clean and legal - Pitch in with the crew on site: raking, cones, cleanup - Winter: truck maintenance and shop work for the right person What we need: - Valid Class A CDL (preferred) or Class B CDL (required) - Clean driving record and current DOT medical card - 2+ years driving dump trucks or hauling equipment (required); paving experience is a big plus - Comfortable backing a loaded truck into a paver on a tight street - Hoisting license a plus Why Coastal: - Weekly pay, direct deposit - Prevailing wage projects with higher pay - Local work, home every night Schedule: Monday-Friday, early start at our yard in Hyannis; some Saturdays in season.
