Responsibilities Operate Class A commercial trucks with manual transmissions, including belly dump trailers, flatbeds, tankers, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules on local deliveries. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers with manual and automatic Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving for freight or logistics cargo handling. Knowledge of route driving, truck loading/unloading procedures Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and ability to plan efficient route Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely during loading/unloading Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
