CDL Driver and Yard

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Driver and Yard Associate to join our team. This role involves commercial truck driving, local delivery, and yard duties, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of freight. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading freight trucks, adhering to DOT regulations, and operating various equipment including forklifts and moffets. Duties Operate Class B CDL trucks for local deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers. Load and unload freight trucks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and moffets. Handle flatbed loads with care, securing cargo according to safety standards. Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations during daily operations. Maintain a clean and organized yard area, assisting with general yard duties as needed. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during truck operation, loading, unloading, and yard activities. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness before each shift. Document delivery activities accurately and report any issues or damages promptly. Skills Valid Class B CDL license with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial truck driving and delivery operations. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to trucking and freight handling. Ability to operate forklifts and moffets safely and efficiently. Strong physical stamina for loading/unloading freight and yard work. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
