Position Overview We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver & Manufactured Home Installer to transport and set up modular homes, which includes hauling an overweight trailer that carries a specialized site-maneuvering tug. In this dual role, you will safely drive the transport rig to the location, unload the tug, and use it to precisely position and anchor the home on-site. This dynamic position is ideal for a safety-minded commercial driver who enjoys active, hands-on mechanical field work. This Includes: Assisting with the setup, installation, and finishing of manufactured homes Working closely with crew members and supervisors on active job sites Operating installation equipment and tools safely and effectively Supporting roof closure, structural fastening, and finishing work Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment Key Responsibilities Safe Transport & Hauling: Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport overweight trailers containing manufactured homes and specialized installation equipment to job sites. Tug Operations: Safely unload, operate, and reload the trailer-mounted tow tug to precisely maneuver and position the home sections onto the foundation. Site Setup & Installation: Perform hands-on structural installation, including leveling, blocking, anchoring, and joining home sections according to engineering prints and local building codes. Pre-Trip & Site Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the rig and trailer, and evaluate terrain conditions at the job site to ensure a safe unloading and installation process. Qualifications Endorsements & Compliance: Experience with or ability to secure oversize/overweight load permits and navigate route restrictions. Technical Skill: Basic carpentry, mechanical, or construction trade skills are highly preferred. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform strenuous physical labor (kneeling, crawling, lifting) during the home setup process. Must Have At least 1 year of Class A CDL experience Valid CDL-A driver’s license High school diploma, GED or equivalent Insurance acceptable driving record Preferred Hauling manufactured or modular home experience preferred Willing to perform home installation and set duties Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
