Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles safely across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow designated routes while adjusting plans as needed for traffic or weather conditions. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and proper documentation. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving over long distances. Familiarity with flatbed trucks and tractor-trailers. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures along with freight handling techniques. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is required. Ability to throw straps to secure the hay and to tarp the hay when needed. Ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems efficiently on over-the-road routes. Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements such as doubles required. Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week Work Location: In person
