CDL Delivery Driver - Lumber Yard

As a CDL Delivery Driver, you’ll be part of a team that works side-by-side with customers and coworkers to help them get the job done right. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with automatic or manual transmissions, including 36' tractor-trailers or 24' flatbeds. Load and unload freight efficiently using piggyback forklifts. Deliver lumber and building materials to various job sites and retail locations. Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and on time by verifying orders against delivery manifests. Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during transport and delivery. Conduct daily routine vehicle inspections before and after shift to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.. Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Schedule Full-time, Monday–Friday Overtime opportunities as business needs require What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL license (Class A preferred). Hands-on experience driving automatic manual transmission trucks in various conditions. Prior delivery driver experience in the construction or building materials industry is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety protocols related to truck driving, load securing, and freight handling. Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts safely (certification preferred).
