Key Responsibilities:
• Operate hydrovac trucks and sewer cleaning combo unit trucks.
• Load and unload various materials safely.
• Ensure proper cargo handling and secure loads, adhering to safety practices and regulations.
• Familiarity with government documents such as manifests is essential.
• Conduct trip inspections on equipment and loads for safety.
• Position trucks correctly for loading/unloading, using signals from the crew.
• Report any vehicle defects or accidents immediately.
• Check all load-related documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain required documentation including driver logbooks and manifests.
• Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and the public.
• Clean up any debris resulting from loading/unloading activities.
• Provide training to others when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
• Must possess a valid CDL B with a clean driving record.
• Tanker endorsement required; hazmat preferred.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
This position requires local work with occasional out-of-town assignments. Overtime may be required.
