CDL Class B Roll-off Truck Driver

Job Overview Roll-Off truck drivers are responsible for servicing customers with the hauling of waste or construction debris to a disposal site. Drivers will deliver, remove and haul roll-off containers to/from customer’s sites. This position may require driving in congested and/or confined areas. This position will be required to enter/exit the truck several times per day. Drivers may also be required to climb to hook/unhook containers, move items to smooth the load and to secure tarps. Roll-Off drivers are exposed to extreme weather conditions. The hours and physical demand may vary by route or area. We are dedicated to providing prompt, professional and reliable service. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete and submit driver inspection reports at end of each shift. · Provide prompt and courteous roll-off delivery and removal services to commercial and residential customers. · Drive roll-off truck in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations and company guidelines. · Proper tarping of containers to prevent loss of contents inside during transport. May be required to manually tarp containers on occasion. · Using excellent customer service skills; establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials and all members of the general public. REQUIREMENTS: · Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) · Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug screening. · Must pass the post-employment DOT physical. · Must obtain a current DOT medical card. · Must be insurable at all times with company’s current insurance carrier. · Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (including but not limited to; sitting, lifting and pushing up to 50lbs., pulling, reaching, climbing, twisting, crouching, stooping, crawling, kneeling and scraping). Some laboring may be required. · Possess general knowledge of the mechanics of trucks to do minor vehicle maintenance. · Ability to plan out routes to ensure traveling the most time efficient way · Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays if needed. · Ability to work in all weather conditions CONDITIONS: · Exposure to extreme weather conditions · Exposure to high traffic conditions · Exposure to tight driving areas Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a tangible difference!
