CDL Class A Truck Driver Hazmat & Tanker Endorsed (LOCAL)

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, and flatbeds. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting freight to various destinations. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo. Responsibilities Operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, to transport freight safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery schedules, and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise during transport. Handle loading and unloading of cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts when required. Ensure that all freight is secured properly during transport to prevent damage. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience operating trailer trucks 2 years is a plus. Knowledge of safe driving practices and regulations in the trucking industry. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining logs and records.
