Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, avoid delays, and ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries while managing any route or schedule changes proactively. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) CLASS A with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with freight delivery and route driving Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures along with logistics cargo handling skills. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling is essential. Understanding of DOT regulations regarding driver hours of service and safety protocols. Certification or experience in Hazmat transportation and hazardous materials regulations is a plus. Strong navigation skills using GPS systems; ability to plan efficient OTR routes.
