Duties We do not load or unload trailors ! Safely operate tractor-trailers on local - home same day routes Navigate routes accurately using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules Communicate effectively with logistics team and All other Balmer and Sons trucking Staff Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations governing commercial truck driving and hazardous materials handling Ensure proper documentation for freight movement, including load manifests and delivery receipts Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs Execute safe loading and unloading procedures for various types of cargo while adhering to logistics cargo handling protocols Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding route progress, delays, or issues during transit Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across diverse routes Skilled in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution operate an automatic trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks safely Experience with automobile transportation and logistics cargo handling techniques Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance requirements Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record emphasizing safety and responsibility Familiarity with route driving best practices for delivery driver experience across long-distance routes Embark on a career that combines adventure with professionalism!
