CDL Class A Semi-Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced CDL Class A Semi-Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across long-distance routes while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure efficient transportation of freight. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure. Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate route driving schedules, delivery times, and route adjustments as needed. Ensure all freight is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents, especially when handling hazardous or fragile cargo. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving. Demonstrated expertise in driving tractor-trailers. Experience with flatbed trailer. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations. Proficiency in using GPS navigation tools for route planning and navigation during long-haul trips. Strong understanding of truck loading and unloading procedures, including logistics cargo handling. Ability to comply with safety standards during load & unload activities while maintaining high levels of manual handling safety practices. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route driving efficiency, and customer service during delivery operations.
