Howard Fertilizer & Chemical Company is looking for an experienced Class “A” Commercial Truck Driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Job Description: Class “A” Commercial Driver - Hazmat required Job Summary: Responsible for safely transporting raw materials and finished goods from plant/warehouse to customers. Safely operate a donkey forklift to load and unload trailer. Required to comply with all DOT regulations. Required to perform inspections on trucks and trailers and maintain accurate paperwork. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with all Howard Fertilizers Safety Rules. Compliance with DOT regulations and requirement to Maintain a Class A CDL license and active HAZMAT endorsement Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle. Able to operate tractor with dry van or flatbed trailer or box truck and as needed. Operate a donkey forklift to load and unload raw materials and finished goods. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your assigned vehicle and report any needed repairs to your supervisor. Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, check fluids, check tire pressures). Efficiently follow assigned daily pickup and drop off schedule. Maintain accurate and legible paperwork for daily pickups and drop offs to include customer paperwork Input accurate data in electronic GPS and ELD equipment and software Ensure contents are secure in or on the truck or trailer prior to transporting. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/ road conditions. Always make safety a priority, perform other job duties as needed. Qualifications: · Must be 21 years of age or older · Minimum 5 Years’ Experience as a Class “A” Commercial Truck Driver with active HAZMAT endorsement · Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License · Hazmat Endorsement Preferred · 5 -year Clean Driving Record · Fully understand all Traffic Laws and DOT Regulations · Forklift Experience · Experience with electronic equipment GPS and ELD devices and software Benefits: 401(k) with Company Match Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Paid Sick Time Paid Vacation Time Howard Fertilizer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
