CDL Class A Driver

Job description We are looking for an experienced truck driver to help serve our customers and deliver their freight in a timely and organized fashion. Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license Hiring requirements: Valid United States driver's license held for a minimum of two years Class A CDL with 6 months minimum driving experience Additional Benefits Working with a local family owned company, stable and growing Modern Facilities Medical insurance 401(k) plan with company match Paid Holidays Paid vacation Job Type: Full-time Salary: Up to $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: Home weekly Supplemental pay types: Layover pay Performance bonus Trucking driver type: Company driver Solo driver Trucking route: Dedicated OTR Regional Experience: Driving: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $59,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Paid training Referral program Safety equipment provided Experience: Driving: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Work Location: On the road
