ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all regulations and customer policies.
• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections and report any defects to maintenance.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations regarding driving hours and transporting hazardous materials.
• Load and deliver products following safety protocols and proper procedures.
• Efficiently manage your delivery schedule and communicate any issues to dispatch.
• Complete documentation for time worked, locations, and products delivered.
• Adapt to changing environments while maintaining safety and operational standards.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers, dispatchers, and supervisors.
• Identify and report any off-site safety concerns promptly.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by your direct supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess a valid California commercial motor vehicle operator's license (Class A or B) with hazardous materials and tank endorsements.
• Maintain a clean driving record (3.0 minor violation points or less) and report any violations to the safety manager.
• Pass an initial DOT physical and drug screen, maintaining a compliant medical card.
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) for access to ports.
• Must acquire and maintain loading privileges at California loading racks.
• Proficient in reading and speaking English to effectively communicate and understand traffic signs and instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds, as well as perform bending, climbing, and stooping as necessary to deliver products to customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
