Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CDL B Truck Driver role located in New London County, CT. The CDL B Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company trucks to deliver building materials to customer locations, job sites, and the company’s facility. Daily tasks include loading and unloading materials, securing loads, following delivery schedules, and completing required delivery paperwork and logs. The role involves inspecting vehicles for safe operation, reporting maintenance needs, and adhering to DOT and company safety policies. The driver will interact with customers and yard staff, provide courteous service, and support warehouse and yard operations as needed. Qualifications Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations. Experience operating commercial trucks and safely loading, securing, and unloading building materials. Ability to read delivery documents, follow routes, and maintain accurate logs and basic paperwork. Physical ability to lift and move materials, work in various weather conditions, and perform routine vehicle checks. Strong communication and customer service skills, with a professional and respectful approach to customers and coworkers. Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time on-site with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment. Basic knowledge of construction or building materials is helpful; prior experience in a lumber yard or building supply environment is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to complete company safety and compliance training required.
