Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Drive route-specific deliveries using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals and efficient routing Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, handling hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations Transport hazardous goods (hazmat) safely, adhering strictly to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards Manage logistics cargo handling efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and secure loading/unloading processes Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or safety concerns while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving for freight or hazardous materials Skilled in route driving using GPS navigation tools for efficient deliveries Ability to handle and perform manual tasks safely Familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures, freight management, and logistics cargo handling techniques Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for dangerous goods Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driver roles preferred Ability to work independently on early morning shifts while maintaining high safety standards and punctuality Moran Transportation Corporation is a second generation ran regional Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier serving Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan, and Missouri.
