Role Description The CDL A Truck Driver OTR (Home Weekly) role is a full-time, on-site position based out of Groveport, OH. In this role, the driver operates Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances while maintaining high safety and compliance standards. Day-to-day tasks include planning routes, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and protecting cargo, and following all DOT and company regulations. The driver communicates with dispatch regarding load status, schedules, and any issues on the road, and completes all required logs and documentation accurately and on time. The role offers weekly home time while providing consistent OTR miles and requires dependable attendance and professional interaction with customers and team members. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record; ability to meet all DOT qualifications and pass required drug and background screenings. Demonstrated experience with over-the-road driving, including trip planning, time management, and safe operation of tractor-trailers in varying conditions. Strong focus on safety and compliance, including conducting thorough vehicle inspections and following all federal, state, and company regulations. Effective communication skills for working with dispatch, customers, and team members, and the ability to complete paperwork and logs accurately. Dependable work ethic, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while being away from home for multiple days at a time. Prior OTR or regional driving experience preferred; familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and basic truck maintenance checks is beneficial.
