CDL A Truck Driver, Floater-Atlanta, GA

Job Description: Join Pitney Bowes for a CDL A Truck Driver, Floater for our Atlanta, Georgia Presort Services facility. You must be qualified and able to safely operate both a 26-foot truck and a 53-foot tractor-trailer. Your hourly pay will be $27 paid weekly with a high possibility of overtime opportunities. This is a full-time direct hire job where you will receive 40 hours per week with the possibility of overtime. You will cover Truck Drivers that are on vacation, additional client routes, and will conduct yard checks when needed. Your possible schedule is: You will receive adequate notice of your schedule. You will work 5 days per week. You will work 8 to 12 hours per day. Your workdays can range from Sunday through Saturday. Your work hours can range from 5:00AM to 2:00PM EST. Report any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor to be for repairs immediately. Maintains a daily driver's log or route sheet for mileage, stops and cargo, or utilization of ELD system. Maintains pickup and delivery schedules meeting deadlines utilizing software tools. Keeps vehicle and work area clean. Knows and understands safety and security precautions and follows company policies. Regular attendance is necessary. Uses all required cell phone applications. You Will Bring: Minimum 21 years in age. Valid Class A License and meet applicable DOT requirements for CDL. Minimum of 6-months of verifiable driving experience in a Tractor Trailer (Semi) truck with safe driving record. You will also drive a Straight truck. Candidates must have a basic enough understanding of English to be able to understand and follow safety and other operational directions communicated in English, irrespectiveof their native language. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend with or without accommodations. Must have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.
