Role Description This is a W2, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in Northampton, PA. The driver will transport freight safely and efficiently, following assigned routes and schedules while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating with dispatch about routes, delivery times, and any issues encountered. The role requires safe operation of company or contracted vehicles, compliance with safety procedures, and professional interaction with customers and facility staff. Drivers may be expected to handle regional or local routes, follow loading and unloading procedures, and support timely pickup and delivery of goods. Qualifications Valid CDL A license, clean driving record, no criminal or drug related issues, backround checks performed prior to approvals, and ability to meet all DOT medical and safety requirements. Minimum 1 year experience operating tractor-trailers, with strong skills in safe driving, backing, and maneuvering in varied conditions. Ability to complete thorough vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs, and follow all regulatory and company reporting requirements. Strong time-management, route-planning, and problem-solving skills to manage schedules, traffic, and delivery constraints. Professional communication skills to interact with dispatch, customers, and team members, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Commitment to safety, reliability, and adherence to company policies, including drug and alcohol testing and workplace conduct standards. Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, such as climbing in and out of trucks, handling freight as required, and working in varied weather conditions. Previous experience in freight transportation or logistics is preferred; familiarity with local and regional routes around Northampton, PA is a plus.
